Popular small screen actor Rajkamal, has been signed on for a small role in Lingaa. The actor shot for four days in Hyderabad alongside Rajinikanth and Anushka Shetty for the movie. Speaking to us, Rajkamal said, “I have a very minor role in Lingaa. I had to do a small screen test for KS Ravikumar sir following which he asked me to be a part of a scene. It’s not that important or anything, but I’m overjoyed to be a part of this, simply because it’s a Superstar film and ofcourse, I’m a major fan.” The actor even got both the director and Rajinikanth to hand him his paycheck.

The hyderabad leg of the Lingaa shooting has been completed and the team will next come to Chennai to film some scenes. Directed by KS Ravikumar, the film has Rajinikanth in dual roles. One half of the movie is set in the pre independence era and will have Sonakshi Sinha play the love interest. The modern part of the film will see Rajini supposedly play a collector and will have Anushka Shetty as the female lead. AR Rahman is composing the music for this film while Rockline Venkatesh is producing the flick. Reports suggest that the film is gearing up for a release on December 12 on Rajinikanth’s birthday.
