‘Sarvam Thaala Mayam’ To Release On February 1

Director Rajiv Menon’s Sarvam Thaala Mayam will release on February 1. It was earlier scheduled for a December 28 release, but the film makers had to postpone release because the Christmas releases – five Tamil films, and a few in other languages – had occupied all screens.

Sarvam Thaala Mayam stars GV Prakash Kumar and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles. It is a musical that talks about a boy who dreams of being a drummer. The film is set in the world of carnatic music, and the protagonist, played by Prakash, is a lower caste boy who aims to enter this world.

Malayalam actors Nedumudi Venu and Vineeth play pivotal roles in the movie. Santha Dhananjayan, Kumaravel and Dhivyadharshini are also part of the cast.

Music is by AR Rahman. This is his third collaboration with Rajiv Menon after Minsaara Kanavu (1997) and Kandukonden Kandukonden (2000). Since it’s a music-centred film, the songs were released as separate singles by celebrities like TM Krishna, Aniruddh Ravichander, Nivetha Thomas and SS Thaman.
