Shooting began for Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Kootam on Wednesday, with a small pooja in Chennai. Directed by Vignesh Sivan, the film will feature Suriya and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles, and will be bankrolled by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green productions. Dinesh Krishnan of Soodhu Kavvum and Thegidi fame will handle the cinematography, while Anirudh is scoring the music.
The film is expected to release in summer 2017.

Meanwhile, Suriya’s Singam 3, directed by Hari, is nearing completion. An Indian Express report said that the post-production work of the movie is going on in full swing as the film is scheduled to release in December. Singam 3 has music composed by Harris Jayaraj. Post Singam 3, Hari will start working on the sequel to his 2003 blockbuster Saamy, with Vikram and Trisha in the lead roles.
Keerthy Suresh, who is one of the most sought-after actresses in Kollywood at the moment, was last seen in Remo, starring Sivakarthikeyan. She has a number of projects coming up, including Bairavaa with Vijay and Nenu Local with Nani.
