Vadakkancherry, Kerala: A 24-year-old man lost his life when performing paalabhishekam for a flex banner featuring actor Vijay. Unnikrishnan, an ardent fan of the actor, and also a part of the Vijay Fans Association, fell to his death when he climbed on to the asbestos roof of a theatre to pour milk on the cut-out.
According to The New Indian Express, Unnikrishnan, who had watched the first show, was celebrating the release of Kaththi when the incident occurred. He was rushed to the hospital, but soon succumbed to injuries.
