The weekend is big for Tamil as Vijay Sethupati-starrer Super Deluxe and Nayanthara-starrer Airaa engage in a face off at the box office. In Malayalam, the stage has been set for Lucifer that marks actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial debut as well as his collaboration with Mohanlal. Films such as Junglee, Notebook and Gone Kesh – headlined by smaller stars takes centrestage in Hindi – a rare occurrence.
Samantha Akkineni, last seen in the bilingual horror-thriller U-Turn, is said to play dual roles in her upcoming films. According to a report in a Tamil daily, she plays the wife of Chaitanya and a school girl (in the flashback) in Majili while in O Baby! Yentha Sakkagunnave, she essays both the younger and older characters. There was speculation that another actor would be roped in to play the older role, but now it is confirmed that Samantha would use special makeup to essay both roles.
