Adarsh Gourav to Star Opposite Meryl Streep, Kit Harrington And David Schwimmer in ‘Extrapolations’

Adarsh Gourav, the actor best known for his performance as Balram Halwai in The White Tiger, will star in filmmaker Scott Z Burns’ upcoming anthology series for Apple TV+ titled Extrapolations.

Gourav will play a driver for hire on the show, reported The Hindu. He will be seen alongside several well-known actors, including Meryl Streep (Mamma Mia!), Sienna Miller (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), Tahar Rahim (The Mauritanian), Matthew Rhys (The Americans), Daveed Diggs (Blindspotting), Gemma Chan (Eternals), and David Schwimmer (Friends).

According to the official synopsis, Extrapolations is an eight interconnected episodic series that explores stories of how the changes to the planet will impact love, family, work both on a personal level and at a larger human level. The show will display the need for survival in the current era, the synopsis added.

The show has Scott serving as the writer, director, and executive producer. Micheal Ellenberg, Greg Jacobs, Dorothy Fortenberry, and Lindsey Springer are the show’s executive producers.

Speaking about working on Extrapolations, Gourav said, “To be working with such an incredible team at such an early juncture of my career is truly rewarding. I have grown up and looked up to each of my co-stars and to now be sharing screen space with them is incredible.”

“This story is such an important one to be told for our current generation and is tied in with realities of today,” he added.

Gourav recently left for New York, where the show is expected to go into production. He will wrap up shooting for the project before heading back to India to begin work on his next, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with actors Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi

Gourav received critical acclaim, both locally and internationally, for his role in The White Tiger, where he shared the screen with actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkummar Rao. He was conferred with the Snow Leopard Rising Star Award by the Asian World Film Festival. He was also nominated for the British Academy Film Awards in the best leading actor category and Film Independent Spirit Awards in the best male lead category for his performance in the film.
