WATCH: Trailer Of Bobby Deol Starrer ‘Class Of 83’ Out Now; Set To Premiere On Netflix On August 21

The trailer of actor Bobby Deol starrer Class Of 83, a Netflix original, is out now. Helmed by Atul Sabharwal, the film has been bankrolled by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner along with Netflix India.

Dean Vijay Singh (Bobby) gives himself as well as five boys – Vardhe, Khan, Shukla, Surve, and Jadhav, deemed unfit for joining the Mumbai Police force the chance to prove themselves by being a part of the mixed squad that has the permission to track down gangsters without taking into consideration the jurisdiction restrictions. What follows is dialogues of good vs evil and law vs order, the haunting past of Vijay Singh, and the boys in action, shooting down the biggest mafia gang of Mumbai headed by an unknown Kalsekar.

Netflix took to Twitter to release the trailer.

The film explores the story of an upright policeman-turned-trainer whose students grapple with the complexities of honour, morals, and devotion to the nation. Bobby Deol plays Dean Vijay Singh who decides to punish the corrupt bureaucracy and its criminal allies who are behind the shunt with the help of his students.

The film also stars Bhpendra Jadawat, Hitesh Bhojraj, Annup Sonii, and Joy Sengupta in important roles. The film is the official adaptation of S Hussain Zaidi’s 2019 book The Class of 83: The Punishers of Mumbai Police.

On the technical front, Viju Shah is on the music, Mario Poljac is on the cinematography, Manas Mittal on the edit, and Abhijeet Deshpande has adapted the story for the screen. Shot in Mumbai, the film will hit Netflix on August 21.

Meanwhile, Bobby will also be seen in Aashram, an MX Player original series helmed and bankrolled by Prakash Jha. It also stars Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, Adhyayan Summan, Anupria Goenka, and Tridha Choudhury in important roles. It will be available for streaming from August 28.
