Hello Charlie: Aadar Jain Starrer Hindi Comedy Film to Release on Amazon Prime Video on April 9

Hello Charlie, the upcoming Hindi film starring Aadar Jain in the lead role, will stream on Amazon Prime Video from April 9, the streaming service announced in a press release on Wednesday while releasing the film’s teaser.

The adventure comedy film’s cast consists of Jackie Shroff, Shlokka Pandit, Elnaaz Norouzi, Darshan Jariwalla, Rajpal Yadav, Girish Kulkarni, Bharat Ganeshpure, and Siddhanth Kapoor.

Jain, who made his debut in the Hindi film Qaidi Band in 2017 and the cousin of actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, will be portraying the role of a young man from a village who is entrusted with the task of transporting a gorilla from Mumbai to Diu, the press release said.

Hello Charlie is directed by Pankaj Saraswat, who has also written the film’s story and screenplay. Saraswat said that the film has an “unconventional storyline”.

The film will be produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment. While Kassim Jagmagia has co-produced the film, Menaka Nagarajan is the executive producer.

Hello Charlie’s technical crew consists of Andre Menezes as the cinematographer and Chandan Arora, and Mitesh Soni as the editors. The film’s music is composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Kanika Kapoor with Vayu and Shelle as the lyricists. Additional screenplay and dialogues have been written by Abhishek Khairkar.

According to Sidhwani, Hello Charlie is the first feature film that is releasing in partnership with the Amazon Prime Video. Excel Entertainment’s previous outings with Amazon Prime Video include action crime web series Mirzapur (2018) and its second season (2020), romantic drama series Made in Heaven (2019), and sports drama web series Inside Edge season 2 (2019).

The production banner is also backing the upcoming Hindi sports drama film, Toofaan, which stars Akhtar as a boxer. It is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video on May 21.
