The new season will have a total of 10 episodes.

Taking to social media, Netflix wrote, “What started as a heist, ended as a family. It’s a wrap on Part 5 of La Casa de Papel/Money Heist. Thank you to all the fans for being part of La Resistencia!”

The series features an ensemble cast including Álvaro Morte as the Professor, Úrsula Coberó as Tokyo, Itziar Ituño as Lisbon, Pedro Alonso as Berlin, Miguel Herrán as Rio among others.

Miguel Ángel Silvestre who was seen in Netflix’s Sense 8 and Patrick Criado will be joining the cast for the last season.

How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters. The result is the fifth part of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”

Apart from Pina, Jesús Colmenar and Cristina López Ferraz also serve as the show’s executive producers while Javier Gómez Santander is the head writer.

Money Heist premiered in 2017 on the Spanish network Antena 3 to a lukewarm response before being picked by Netflix. According to a Deadline report, the show’s fourth season was watched by 65 million people in its first 28 days on the platform.
