Actor Naga Chaitanya, who was last seen in Sekhar Kammula’s film Love Story, is set to collaborate with filmmaker Vikram K Kumar on a web series, a source close to the makers confirmed to Silverscreen India on condition of anonymity.
This project will mark the actor’s debut in the OTT space.
While official word on this is still awaited from the makers, our source tells us the upcoming series will stream on the Amazon Prime Video platform. “The web series will go on floors next month, January 2022. It belongs to the thriller genre. The pre-production work is nearing completion and the team is almost ready to go for the shoot,” adds the source.
Before the series goes on floors, the actor-director duo of Naga Chaitanya and Vikram Kumar will be resuming the shooting schedule for their upcoming film, Thank You. According to the source, the last schedule of the film will begin in mid-January and the makers are looking to wrap up filming by February.
Thank You is a romantic comedy film based on a screenplay written by BVS Ravi. It is produced by Dil Raju. With SS Thaman scoring the music, the film has veteran cinematographer PC Sreeram handling the camera. Raashi Khanna plays the female lead opposite Chaitanya.

“From February, the promotions for Thank You will begin, and we want to start promoting the Amazon series by May-June, by which time we should have a sizeable amount of work done for it,” the source adds.
Apart from Thank You and the web series, Chaitanya also has a couple of other projects lined up. He will be sharing screen space with his father Nagarjuna in the upcoming film Bangarraju, and is set to make his Hindi debut with Laal Singh Chaddha.
