The trailer sets up a legal battle involving the murder of two migrant children, and asks whether their lawyer will be able to defend the truth.
According to ZEE5, Nail Polish revolves around the story of a prominent man Veer Singh (Manav Kaul), who is accused of killing two migrant children. Arjun Rampal plays Kaul’s high-profile defence lawyer, Sid Jaisingh, while Tiwari plays the prosecutor who tries to get justice for the murdered children. Rajit Kapoor plays judge Bhusan, who is overseeing the case, while Madhoo Shah, who is making her digital debut with this film, portrays Judge Bhusan’s wife.
Nail Polish will be Rampal’s second collaboration with the streaming service after the 2019 thriller series The Final Call, in which he played a suicidal pilot who has to save an aeroplane full of passengers.
Kaul said, “Veer Singh, my character in Nail Polish plays a major role in the narrative and it is the most difficult and thrilling roles I have played to date. The script and my part were really intriguing and instantly got me hooked.”
Rampal also said that the script was intriguing. He said, “…[the] project is extremely promising and allows everyone to push one’s limits to a level, that hopefully shall transform itself into something very very special.”
Helmed by filmmaker Bhargava Krishna, the film is produced by Pradeep Uppoor, Seema Mohapatra, Jahanara Bhargava of Ten Years Younger Productions along with Dhirajj Vinodd Kapoor. This will be Bhargava’s second film with ZEE5 after the thriller film Barot House in 2019.
Nail Polish is set to premiere on ZEE5 on January 1, 2021.
