A swift census of Pudupatti village is taken by the narrator whilst expressing his disappointment of only a few young girls in the village as against a large number of boys and the weird ratio of twice as many women to the number of men, owing to their extramarital affairs. We’re then shown a furious Sriya along with the other aggressive men and women of the village and a bleeding couple possibly trying to find out where the ‘Anda’ from Sriya’s house went missing.

Actor Suriya Sivakumar took to Twitter to release the trailer.

The film based on real-life incidents that happened near Theni. The comedy-drama also features Vinod Munna, Arun Brother, Naveena, and Ilaiyaraaja in prominent roles with several other newcomers. Reportedly a rural women-centric film, Andava Kaanom has PV Shankar on camera, Asvamitra on music, Sathyaraj Natrajan on edit, and AK Muthu on art. Lyrics have been penned by Mathurakavi.
