According to a press release issued by the makers on Monday, the series revolves around three friends (played by Jai, Prasanna, and Rajkumar) and their camaraderie as they navigate through life, find love, and set off on a trip to Goa.

Emphasising that the creators have paid special focus on the writing, Jai, who will be making his digital debut with the series, said in the release, “It’s crazy-Mohan-kind of humour that will leave everyone with a smile. Triples is a fast-paced fun story that will make everyone fondly think about their gang of friends, it definitely made me nostalgic!”

According to Bhojan, who has predominantly worked in Tamil soaps and films, including Oh My Kadavule, the series will feature a parallel love triangle and a situation with a loan shark. “I had a great time shooting with a talented crew like this one and I hope that people enjoy the show as much as enjoyed making it,” she added.

Karthik said, “Hotstar Specials has made some of India’s biggest and most loved shows; and we’re excited that Triples is the first Tamil show to release on the platform.” This will be the second web series produced by Karthik after Kallachirippu, that aired on Zee5 in 2018.

Both Jai and Bhojan have previously acted in comedy films. While Bhojan has starred in the 2019 Telugu romantic comedy Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, Jai has partnered with director Venkat Prabhu in comedy films like Chennai 600028, Biriyani, and Goa.
