Nayanthara starrer Dora has been certified A. Directed by debutant Doss Ramasamy, the film is about a possessed car and the heroine’s attempts to investigate it. Already embroiled in a plagiarism controversy, this latest censor debacle is yet another blow to the makers who hope to release the film later this month.
The A certificate means that the film will not be made available to its targeted audience – children.

According to a report in Manorama Online, the A certificate was given due to the film’s intense horror sequences. The makers are said to be baffled at the rating given, as they believe that the film is very kid-friendly.
A source close to the film told Silverscreen, ” We made this film very children friendly. So this A rating is a rude shock to us all.We have made efforts to understand the revision process and will approach the CBFC in due course.”
Dora also stars Thambi Ramaiah, Harish Uttaman and Sulile Kumar in pivotal roles. This women-centric movie has music composed by Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon. The movie is all set to hit the screens on March 31.
