Actor GV Prakash Kumar will sing for Vijay’s Mersal. The actor/music composer took to Twitter to make the announcement:

Prakash has reportedly lent his voice for ‘Mersal Arasan’ single from the film. The music has been composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman.
This is the third single from the Mersal album. The team behind the film has already released Aalaporan Tamizhan and Neethanae from the film, in the days leading to the film’s grand audio launch on August 20.
Vijay has triple roles in the film that has Nithya Menen, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal as the female leads. Atlee directs the project while Sri Thenandal Films is the producer. The film is scheduled to release on Diwali this year.
Meanwhile, GV Prakash Kumar has finished dubbing for his portions in Bala’s Naachiyaar. He shares screen space with Jyothika for this crime thriller.
