Poochi Murugan, on behalf of the Nadigar Sangam Charitable trust, has lodged a complaint at the grievance cell of the office of the Commissioner of Police against three former trustees of the Nadigar Sangam, including former president Sarathkumar. The complaint cites misappropriation and misfeasance of the Trust funds. The complaint has been signed by Vishal, the General Secretary of the Sangam.

A press release stated that the complaint was lodged based on the report of the special auditor of the Trust and as per the decision of the Executive Committee of the organisation. The elections of the Nadigar Sangam were held last year in October. These elections were the result of a series of allegations made by certain members of the Sangam against the then office bearers, including Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi.
