Parvathamma Rajkumar, wife of late actor Rajkumar, is battling for her life at a private hospital in Bengaluru. She was hospitalized on May 14 after she complained of drowsiness and irritability.
A spokesperson for the family told Silverscreen, “Parvathamma is currently on ventilator support. Her kidney has malfunctioned and doctors are currently treating her for renal failure and breathing issues. It is our hope that she will battle it out and come back home healthy.”
Parvathamma is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. Shivrajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar addressed the press outside the hospital yesterday, and shot down rumours that she’d passed away. “We request everybody to keep calm and pray for her recovery. Do not give credence to rumours,” Shivrajkumar said.
The Rajkumar residence at Sadashiv Nagar has been granted extra security. Fans have gathered outside the house in a show of solidarity and support for the family.
