Shruti Haasan has reportedly been approached to play the female lead in Mani Ratnam’s next film. Karthi has already been signed as the male lead for the romantic-entertainer, which is scheduled to begin shooting in September.
According to Times of India, Shruti has not yet confirmed her participation in the project, but has expressed an interest in working with the iconic director. There have also been indications that Dulquer Salmaan may be a part of the film.
Karthi is currently shooting two films, Kashmora and Vamshi Padipelly’s untitled film with Nagarjuna. Shruti Haasan is in Italy, shooting for Thala 56, and Dulquer is awaiting the Onam release of the Malayalam film Charlie.
