Thani Oruvan To Be Remade In 5 Languages

Thani Oruvan, directed by Mohan Raja,  is having a dream run at the box office, even in its second week. There are rumours that the film would be remade in various languages. While Ramcharan has expressed his interest in the Telugu version of he film, Mohan Raja has revealed that Genelia D’Souza might acquire the rights of the Marathi version of the film. Genelia turned producer last year with the Marathi film Lai Bhaari. There are talks that Puneet Rajkumar might play the lead role in the film’s Kannada version. A leading production house is in talks for a Bengali version too, said Raja.

Raja added that there was a probability that Salman Khan might star in the Hindi remake of the film. However, Khan is yet to watch the crime thriller. On asked whether he would direct the Hindi or Telugu versions, he said that he was yet to take a call on it.

Thani Oruvan had Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami in the lead roles. Both the actors are enjoying a wave of appreciation for their roles in the film. Produced by AGS, the film has tunes composed by HipHop Adhi. Here is our review of the film.
