Prasanna Plays A Good Guy In Mysskin’s Thupparivalan

Prasanna Cop Film

Actor Prasanna has been roped into director Mysskin’s Thupparivaalan . The actor last worked with Mysskin in Anjathe. This new film has the duo collaborating after an eight year gap.

Prasanna took to Twitter to share news of the film:

Thupparivaalan has actor Vishal and actress Rakul Preet in the lead roles. Speaking to ToI, Prasanna said, “I have known for a while that Mysskin was working on a role for me. While he was writing Thupparivalan, he told me he had a role for me in mind, and will take the casting call based on the character’s demands. That’s how he roped me in for the film.” He also added that they were supposed to work on a sequel to Anjathe after Pissasu, but it was put on hold since it demanded a bigger budget.

Prasanna also revealed that he would be playing the good guy in the film. According to reports, the actor has a full-length role in Thupparivaalan with ‘many combination scenes with Vishal’. Recently, Prasanna also signed Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttupayale 2 starring Bobby Simha. He plays the antagonist in the movie. The actor is amused at the casting choices of both the directors. “It is interesting that Susi Ganesan, who introduced me as a hero, has cast me as a villain, while Mysskin, who gave me my first villain role, has called me to play the role of a good guy,” he said.

Prasanna is currently awaiting the release of his cop-thriller Nibunan.

Thupparivaalan is scheduled to begin filming next month. The action-thriller has Vishal essaying the role of an investigator. The film will be shot mostly in Chennai, with the supporting cast yet to be finalised. The music will be composed by Arrol Corelli, who debuted as a music director with Mysskin’s 2015 film Pissaasu.
