Vijay Sethupathi To Star In Gokul’s Next Movie

Vijay Sethupathi had a great year at the Box office in 2016, with the success of his back to back 6 releases. All of them garnering equal acclaim with fans and critics alike. The 38-year-old is busy shooting for Pushkar-Gayathri’s Vikram Vedha and was approached by Kashmora fame director Gokul for his next project. The duo had earlier worked for the comedy film Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara. 

As per reports in Deccan Chronicle, the director has said, “I will once again be directing Vijay Sethupathi and it is not a sequel to Idharku… It is an action-comedy script and I am excited to start the project soon.”

The Kaashmora director also added, “We are still figuring out the dates and I am planning to wrap up this venture soon. In six years, I have only done three movies and I want to speed up the process. Kaashmora took a long time, but it gave me the experience of a lifetime.”

2017 is jam-packed with 5 releases for this Naanum Rowdy Dhan actor. He is presently awaiting the release of Puriyaadha Pudhir with Gayathrie. Upcoming films include the Dhanush-Amala Paul starrer Vada Chennai; KV Anand’s Kavan; Aneethi Kathaigal with Thiagarajan Kumararaja; Vikram Vedha with Madhavan; and 96 with Trisha.
