Baahubali Fastest Film to Enter Rs 100 Crore Club

It’s raining moolah for SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali, which has reportedly grossed over Rs 100 crore in its opening weekend worldwide. It is said to be the fastest Indian film to achieve the rare feat in just two days since its release. The film is now marching towards the Rs 200 crore club.

Having released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, the film opened to Rs 60 crore on release day, making it the biggest opening for an Indian film. It features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia in the lead roles, while Sathyaraj, Nasser and Ramya Krishnan have essayed important roles. Said to be made on a whopping budget of Rs 250 crore, the film is jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and K Raghavendra Rao.
