Baahubali star Rana Daggubati’s next film will be based on PNZ Ghazi, the Pakistani attack submarine which was deployed to assault the Indian aircraft carrier Vikrant in 1971.

In this underwater war drama, Rana will be essaying the role of a Naval officer. To be directed by debutant Sanklap, the film will be based on the director’s own book, Blue Fish, and will be produced by PVP Cinema. The young filmmaker is currently giving final touches to the script, and will soon meet Rana for the final narration. The film will be shot in sync sound, and the makers have already built a submarine prototype in Hyderabad, where most of the shooting will take place. The makers plan to rope in Prakash Raj to play an important role.
