Filmmaker Gunasekar’s epic war-drama Rudhramadevi, despite mixed reviews, has managed to gross INR 32 crore worldwide in its opening weekend.
The film’s Telugu and Hindi versions released last week, and the Tamil dubbed version will be releasing this week. Tipped to be made on a budget of INR 80 crore, the film has Anushka Shetty playing the titular role – The warrior queen Rudhramadevi of the Kakatiya dynasty. It also features an ensemble cast – Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menon and Aditi Chengappa, among others in important roles.
