The trailer of Dileep-starrer Chandrettan Evideya is out. The film, directed by Siddharth Bharathan, has Anusree and Namitha Pramod playing the female leads. The trailer hints that the film is a light-hearted family drama. It looks like Dileep is playing a middle-class husband who, bored of living with his old-fashioned wife (Anusree) and kid, gets involved in an extra-marital affair with a dancer, played by Namitha Pramod.
Mukesh, Suraj Venjaramoodu, KPAC Lalitha, Chemban Vinod, Kochu Preman and Vinayakan play supporting roles in this film which is produced by Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid and Ashiq Usman under the banner of Handmade Films. Shyju Khalid does the cinematography while Prasanth Pillai scores the music for the film.
The film is Siddharth Bharathan’s second directorial venture after Nidra which was released in 2012. This is young actress Namitha’s third film with Dileep, after Sound Thoma and Villali Veeran.
Chandrettan Evideya will be crucial for Dileep whose recent movies are garnering bad critic reviews. All his movies in the recent past like Maya Mohini, Mr Marumakkan, Sringaravelan, Villali Veeran and the most recent Ivan Maryada Raman were all flayed by critics.
