The trailer of Sameer Thahir’s Kali, starring Dulquer Salman and Sai Pallavi, is out. The film, as its name suggests, has Dulquer playing Siddharth, a young man with a serious anger management issue. This is Sai Pallavi’s second venture, after her stunning debut in Premam as Malar. She plays Siddharth’s hapless life-partner, Anjali. In the trailer, Siddharth is repeatedly described as a short-tempered guy. “It has become impossible to have a decent conversation with you!” Anjali is heard telling him.
Soubin Shahir plays Siddharth’s colleague. Sunny Wayne, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Vinayakan play other supporting roles. Girish Gangadharan’s frames are less flashy and more raw. Editor Vivek Harshan has kept the trailer brief and straightforward, without resorting to the usual gimmicks employed by filmmakers these days.
Kali is cinematographer-turned-director Sameer Thanir’s third directorial, after Chappa Kurishu, and Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. Produced by Ashiq Usman,Shyju Khalid, and Sameer Thahir, the film’s screenplay has been penned by Rajesh Gopinathan.
