As a member of S5 band, Benny Dayal sang for the Malayalam movie By The People in 2005. This was when AR Rahman noticed, and invited him for an audition. From here Benny Dayal’s career took off. He sang ‘Maduraikku Pogadhadi’ for Azhagiya Tamizh Magan, and later sang many songs in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu films, including ‘Taxi Taxi’ and ‘Chinnamma Chilakkamma’ for Sakkarakatti and ‘Pappu can’t dance’ and ‘Nazrein Milaana Nazrein Churaana’ from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
