The teaser of Jomonte Suvisheshangal, in which actor Dulquer Salmaan teams up with veteran director Sathyan Anthikkad for the first time, is out. In the film, a breezy family drama set in Thrissur, Dulquer plays Jomon, the son of a businessman played by actor Mukesh. This is the first time the veteran actor is donning the role of the lead character’s father.
The film has two female leads – Anupama Parameswaran and Kollywood actress Aishwarya Rajesh. Reportedly, a portion of the film involves Tamil-speaking characters, played by actors like Mano Bala.
Some of the biggest hits in Sathyan Anthikkad’s career, like Kalikkalam and Sreedharante Onnamthirumurivu, starred Mammootty, Dulquer’s father. Anthikkad’s films are known for their fine humour, relatable characters and nuanced portrayal of ordinary life.
The film is written by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram and produced by Sethu Mannarkad, the veteran production manager who has worked with Anthikkad in several films. Vidya Sagar has composed the songs, and S Kumar has handled the cinematography.
