This morning The Indian Express reported that lyricist Vairamuthu has been dropped from Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan.
No official confirmation has come from the Ponniyin Selvam team yet. However, a source close to the production told Silverscreen, that the crew is yet to decide if he’s there in the project or not. Mani Ratnam is said to be upset at the number of calls his crew has received in this regard and may even be mulling filing a case against some media organisations.
