The shooting of Satyameva Jayate 2 commenced on Wednesday, the filmmakers announced on Twitter on Wednesday. The film is a sequel to the 2018 release, Satyameva Jayate, and is directed by Milap Zaveri.
The tweet read, “Kickstarting with the deadly combo of Mass Action and Dialoguebaazi, the journey of #SatyamevaJayate2 begins today! Directed by #MilapZaveri, starring @TheJohnAbraham & @iamDivyaKhosla…”
The first look poster was released last October. The sequel was slated to release on October 2 this year but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent lockdown. The film will be shot in Lucknow and is slated to release in May 2021, around the time of Eid.
Recently, former Bigg Boss contestant Santosh Shukla joined the cast as one of the antagonists. Talking about his preparation for the film, he said: “I have learned martial arts and have become quite flexible and athletic now. I have also experimented with my looks. I am sporting short hair and a dense beard in the film.”
Abraham was last seen in Pagalpanti (2019) and his upcoming works include Mumbai Saga and Attack.
