Speaking about the actor’s last journey, Tapaswini Ben of the Brahmakumaris told TOI, “He will be taken home from Cooper Hospital at 11 am. We will be meditating first and then other rituals will be done. Sidharth followed the Brahamkumari and studied the daily discourse, so his last journey will have all of it.”
She also said that he was a regular at the Brahmakumari centre at Vile Parle and was last seen there on rakhi. “He came to our Vile Parle centre and our Yoginiji from that centre tied rakhi to him,” she said.
Shukla’s remains were taken directly to the Oshiwara crematorium instead of his home after the post-mortem.
Several of the late actor’s friends reached the crematorium to pay their last respects. Shehnaaz Gill, who appeared alongside Shukla in Bigg Boss 13 and was rumoured to be his girlfriend, Aly Goni, Vikas Khanna, and some other TV actors were among those present at the Oshiwara crematorium for his last rites.
While initial reports stated that the actor had died of a massive heart attack, the cause of death is yet to be officially known. Sources told NDTV that “no external or internal injuries were found” after his autopsy. The viscera samples have been sent for chemical analysis to determine the cause of death.
Shukla had reportedly complained of uneasiness on the night before his demise. When he did not wake up the next morning, a family doctor was called in, who advised that he be taken to a hospital. Cooper Hospital officials said that he was brought in dead.
The actor became a household name after his stint as the main lead in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu. The Bigg Boss 13 winner also starred in the web series Broken But Beautiful 3 this year. His last appearance was as a special guest on Bigg Boss OTT and Dance Deewane 3.
