Eight content providers, namely Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, DocuBay, Eros Now, MUBI, hoichoi, manoramaMAX, and ShortsTV, will be available to the subscribers of Amazon Prime Video as part of the new service.

“As content choices explode, a single interface for discovery, streaming and payments, is a key need for customers and we aim to solve for this with the launch of Prime Video Channels,” Chaitanya Divan, Head Prime Video Channels, Amazon Prime Video, said in a statement.

This marks the first video entertainment marketplace in India that will enable users to access additional streaming libraries in one place, without having to create separate accounts for each subscription.

With this collaboration, Amazon Prime Video has added close to 10,000 titles to its existing library of films and shows. And the platform has expanded its regional language libraries significantly with the inclusion of the all-Bengali service Hoichoi, and manoramaMAX, a platform that exclusively provides Malayalam language content.

While the pricing of some of the OTT services continue to remain same as their independent subscription plans, others have offered a discount rate because of the collaboration.
