Andrew Garfield, who recently appeared in Marvel and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: No Way Home, said that Tom Holland was jealous of him because Garfield’s Spider-Man suit came with zippers while Holland had to use his nose to even use his phone.
Speaking to Matt Donnelly of Variety, on Thursday, Garfield said, “Tom [Holland] was jealous because I have little zippers in my suit that I can get my hands out of very easily. To work his phone, he had to use his nose because he couldn’t access his hands.”
The last part in the Spider-Man: Homecoming series released in mid-December and took cinemas across the world, by a storm as it collected over $1 billion within 12 days of its release and became the biggest film of 2021.
Directed by Jon Watts, the film sees actors Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon reprise their roles as Spider-Man, Michelle Jones aka MJ, and Ned Leeds, respectively. It additionally features Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, who takes over as Spider-Man’s mentor.
No Way Home follows Peter Parker alias Spider-Man as he fights multiple villains from earlier Spider-Man films, who return after Doctor Strange accidentally unleashes the multiverse while trying to help Parker.
Garfield, who headlined The Amazing Spider-Man series, appeared along with the first-ever Spider-Man Tobey Maguire, in the film, as a result of the multiverse. The union of all the three Spider-Men became the unique selling point for the film.
However, he added that the image of catching MJ in the film, was the selling point for him.

“I will say the image of my catching [Zendaya’s] MJ — that was really beautiful and it kind of sold me on the whole thing,” he said and referred to the concluding note of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which witnesses the death of Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone.
He added, “I am so grateful. I’m just really, really grateful that I got to tie up some loose ends for the Peter that I was playing. It was joyful, and a feeling of closure for me. There was so many unanswered questions for my Peter, where we left it. I got to step back in and get some healing for him.”
He called the film a spiritual journey and revealed that he and Maguire worked on the film for two weeks. Garfield added that the three actors shared their experiences while in their respective Spider-Man suits, issues like going to the bathroom, and padding around the package.
