D Imman & Candy Crush, K. Viswanath Birthday Tribute & More – This Week in Tamil Cinema: February 23, 2015

D Imman spoke to us about his passion for live music and his secret love for Candy Crush; Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram turned 15 and someone trawled the Internet for quick trivia about it; Celebrities and their secret love for hats was revealed. We also discovered that all the outrage surrounding CBFC’s infamous curse list didn’t extend down south. Also, a trip down memory lane courtesy K Viswanath, who celebrated his 85th birthday last week.

We also made public Aari’s (not so) big reveal on Valentine’s Day because we’re big believers in spreading the joy; while Anegan was watched thoroughly and every single thought duly documented.

On the photos front, it was all HQ throughout the week. Bindu Madhavi, Sachin Tendulkar made it to our special galleries while Hansika Motwani played peek-a-boo with our photographer along with Anirudh Ravichander.

Among last week’s movie releases, Tamilukku En Ondrai Azhuthavum was the surprise winner. The Nakul – Bindu Madhavi starrer was defiantly different; the forced sub-plot notwithstanding while Sarath Kumar’s Sandamarudham was all lollipops, nursery rhyme spouting villains and one epic wrong reference.

Also, ‘Movie Mogul’ Ramanaidu passed away after a long battle with cancer and a lot of glowing tributes were made.
