Amala Paul shines once again as Shalini. She looks beautiful and is apt for the role. Saranya as Dhanush’s mother leaves a lasting impression. Samuthirakani as hero’s father is aptly cast, while Vivek’s comedy in the second half is enjoyable. Hrishikesh as hero’s younger brother makes a neat debut while Amitesh the ‘Amul Baby’ villain needs to improve. Songs by Anirudh is a plus point especially emotional Amma Amma.. song.
On the whole, VIP is satisfaction guaranteed for those looking for some fun and a good time at the movies. Die hard fans of Dhanush, don’t miss this one!
