The audio of director Chandramohan’s debut film Palakkattu Madhavan was launched by actor Sivakarthiyen and received by music director Anirudh Ravichander. This film stars Vivek, Sonia Aggarwal and veteran actress Sheela in the lead roles alongside a supporting cast that includes Swaminathan, Manobala, Singamuthu, Rajendran, Aarthi and others. Srikanth Deva composes music.
The event started off with actor Vivek introducing the anchor Mahesh. Later, Vivek made lighthearted jibes about actor Rajendran, director Gautham Vasudev Menon and actress Priya Anand. All three of them were supposed to have attended the audio launch, but did not.
Continuing in the same vein, he said, “I am glad no one has filed a case against the movie so far. But then,” he added, “there is nothing controversial in the movie, so they won’t.”
Vivek confessed that he turned lyricist for the song ‘Uchi Mela’ because of time constraints.
Anirudh Ravichander has sung a song in the movie. Speaking at the event, Anirudh revealed that Vivek was the first to congratulate him after his blockbuster Kolaveri video.
The movie is expected to release in May.
