Rajinikanth Wants To Remake Bhaskar The Rascal

Actor Rajinikanth, reportedly, has expressed interest in remaking the recent Malayalam hit Bhaskar The Rascal , which has Mammootty and Nayanthara in the lead roles. A report in the Tamil magazine Kungumam says that Rajinikanth enjoyed the movie and decided to remake it in Tamil.

Bhaskar The Rascal, directed by Siddique, has Mammootty playing a widower named Bhaskar, who is a doting father. Nayanthara plays Hima, a single mother, and the story revolves around their kids’ efforts to bring them together.

The film doesn’t have many fight sequences and is a family entertainer. Reportedly, Rajinikanth planned to complete the film in two months.

Also, the Kungumam report added that the actor might begin this film when his untitled project with director Pa Ranjith commences. Actress Nayanthara is a strong contender for the female lead and reports suggest that Rajinikanth will essay the role of an aged gangster in the movie.

Composer Santhosh Narayanan, who worked with Ranjith in Madras, will be scoring music for the movie.
