Yagavaraayinum Naa Kaaka is all set to release on the 26th of June. One of the highlights of the film is the cast that includes Mithun Chakraborty. YNK is the debut Tamil movie of the 64-year-old National award winner. It is said that not even Mani Ratnam, who has worked with him in Guru could convince him about working in a Tamil flick, but debut director Sathya Prabhas Pinisetty managed to do just that.

Aadhi, who plays the lead in the film, said that working with ‘Mithun-dada‘ was a very intriguing experience indeed. “The way he dealt with the role was a class apart,” he adds. He used to transliterate all his lines in Hindi and learn them by heart before the shots were called, as he doesn’t believe in prompting. He constantly used to consult with Aadhi and the movie crew whether he was getting his lines right. “Off screen, Mithun-da is a very cool person to hang out with,” he added.
Mithun Chakraborty plays a role loosely inspired by Varadarajan Mudaliyar, the gangster who inspired Kamal Haasan’s ‘Velu Nayakan’ in Nayagan.
Darling fame Nikki Galrani plays the female lead in Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka which also features Pasupathy, Nassar and Richa Pallod in key roles. The audio composed by Prasan Praveen Shyam will be released on the 10th of June.
