Karunakaran and ‘Mottai’ Rajendran, the two comedians who have seen a steady rise in their careers over the past two years, are joining hands for a movie titled ‘Kanneer Anjali‘, helmed by Gugan. Karunakaran confirmed the news to Times of India and added that the movie would be a fantasy-comedy.
Karunakaran, who rose to prominence with his roles in films like Soodhu Kavvum and Jigarthanda, is now a much-sought-after actor for comic roles. Following the success of his recent film Indru Nettru Naalai, Karunakaran will be seen in Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga, Uppu Karuvadu and Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi. Rajendran, on the other hand, started off his career playing a baddie in Naan Kadavul, but later, made a turnabout to comic roles. Now, it would be interesting to see how a movie with these two actors turns out to be.
Reportedly, Parvathy Nair of Yennai Arindhaal fame may play the lead role in Kanneer Anjali. The official announcement is expected in the coming days.
