Actor Arun Vijay, who impressed critics and audiences alike with his menacing performance in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal, has been roped in as the main antagonist in Ram Charan’s yet-untitled next Telugu outing, which is being directed by Srinu Vaitla.
According a source, it was Arun’s performance in Yennai Arindhaal that impressed Vaitla to offer him the role. Initially, the makers had planned to rope in another popular Tamil actor to play the baddie, but eventually the role was bagged by Arun. The film, which is produced by DVV Danayya, also features Rakul Preet Singh, Kriti Kharbanda and Amitash Pradhan. It is slated for release during Dussehra festival.
