Actor Ashok Selvan has signed his next film Pirai Thediya Naatkal, a romantic comedy directed by debutant director Abraham Prabhu. According to a Times of India report, Ashok will portray a physically disabled person, and is currently preparing for his role by talking to people with a similar disability in real life. Shooting will begin in August and after completion of the first schedule, the team will travel to Nepal for the next schedule.
Pirai Thediya Naatkal will be produced by Eros International. The remaining cast and crew will be announced shortly. The film already has on board music director Girishh Gopalakrishnan, cinematographer Karthik Muthukumar, and editor Sathyaraj.
Director Abraham Prabhu has previously worked on the critically acclaimed Vidiyum Munn as a writer, and has co-directed the recently released Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka.
