According to filmmaker Gunasekhar, his magnum opus Rudhramadevi will explore a never-seen-before romantic side of actor Rana Daggubati, who was recently seen as the menacing Bhalladeva in S.S Rajamouli’s Baahubali.

Touted to be India’s first stereoscopic 3D film, the film will release worldwide on September 4. A story about the reigning queen of Kakatiya dynasty, the film features Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun in important roles.
Gunasekhar says in the film Rana plays prince Chalukya, and is paired with Anushka. Maestro Illayaraja has composed the tunes for the film, which features Allu Arjun as Gona Gonna Reddy, a bandit and outlaw. The film also features an ensemble supporting cast of Prakash Raj, Nitya Menen, Hamsa Nandini, Catherine Tresa, Baba Sehgal and Krishnam Raju among others.
