After a brief hiatus, the shooting of director Bala’s upcoming film, Tharai Thappattai, is making brisk progress. Earlier, the team had gone on a break when actor Sasikumar fractured his arm during filming; they will now travel to Andaman and Nicobar Islands to shoot some important sequences, reported The New Indian Express. Currently, the team is shooting in the Chennai Harbor.

The Chennai schedule will go on for five days after which an eight-member crew will fly to Andaman for their next schedule commencing August 13. As of now, two schedules of Tharai Thappattai have been completed.
Also, the team is making plans to celebrate the audio launch in a grand manner, as it marks music director Ilaiyaraaja’s 1000th film.
Tharai Thappattai, a story based on Karagattam, stars Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar in central roles. Super Singer fame Pragathi Guruprasad plays Sasikumar’s sister in the movie alongside Amudhavaanan, Kaavya Sha and Suresh.
