The first look posters of actress Trisha’s upcoming film Nayaki with director Govi Goverdhan were unveiled yesterday on Twitter. The actress sported a retro heroine look in the posters. The official pooja of the movie will take place on August 20 in Chennai. Nayaki is a horror comedy and will be simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu.

While Trisha has spoken of her interest in acting in a horror comedy film, there has been no confirmation on whether her role in the movie would be that of a ghost. Trisha also thanked Govi for having specifically written a script with her in mind.

Actor Ganesh Venkatraman, who starred in the successful Abhiyum Naanum, will play the male lead in Nayaki. The supporting cast includes Jayaprakash, Bramanandam, Manobala, and Kovai Sarala. Nayaki is being produced by Trisha’s manager Giridhar’s Productions.
