Madan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures, recently, announced that his film Kirumi would release on September 24. Kirumi, starring Madha Yaanai Kootam Kathir and Reshmi Menon, has been lying in the cans for a long time now. The film is tipped to be a drama, laced with psychological thriller moments.

Last Thursday, September 17, was packed, with around 4 releases. The following Thursday-Friday, September 24/25, will see around 7 releases, as per what we know so far. However, we expect a few films to back out from the race. Valeba Raja, which marks the second time collaboration of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, is also releasing on the same day. Shooting of this film, starring Sethu, Santhanam, Vishakha Singh, Nushrat Bharucha, was wrapped up months ago, and did not make it to the theatres due to undisclosed reasons. Actor Santhanam, in a press meet, had revealed that the release of the movie could only be decided by the producer.
Kuttram Kadithal, Unakkenna Venum Sollu, Kirumi, Jippa Jimiki, Kadhal Agadhi and Telugu dubbed film Ram Leela have grabbed the September 24/25 slot.
