Actor Sivakarthikeyan was mobbed and beaten up by miscreants at Madurai airport on Sunday. A video of the actor stuck amidst the miscreants went viral on Facebook and Twitter.
Reportedly, the mob claimed to be ardent fans of Kamal Haasan. However, the reason behind this act is unclear. While a group of people remark that Sivakarthikeyan was attacked for speaking against Shruti Haasan in a popular show, another section of people say that the actor was beaten up for ridiculing Kamal Haasan in a show.
Sivakarthikeyan was on the way to attend an event, along with actress Hansika and actor Kamal Haasan, in Thiruchendur. Later, the actor tweeted that he was absolutely fine:

After the video went viral, a hashtag #WeSupportSivakarthikeyan started trending on Twitter, and several fans voiced their support for the actor. A popular news channel managed to speak to Sivakarthikeyan and Kamal Haasan. Apparently, Sivakarthikeyan said, ” It is just a small issue and I am absolutely fine now.”
Meanwhile, there are rumours that actress Shruti Haasan has been approached to star opposite Sivakarthikeyan in his upcoming film.
