Director Thiru’s upcoming film with Vikram and Kajal Aggarwal has been titled Garuda. Debutant music director C Girinadh will work on the film. C Girinadh has already coordinated with Vikram to compose a song called the ‘Spirit of Chennai’, a tribute to the volunteers who helped in Chennai during the December floods. Shooting of Garuda will begin once Vikram completes directing the ‘Spirit of Chennai’ song. Along with Garuda, Vikram will also be shooting for director Anand Shankar’s untitled film. Garuda also marks the first screen collaboration between Vikram and Kajal Aggarwal.
Thiru’s previous works include Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, Samar and Naan Sigappu Manithan. Prior to Garuda, all his films featured Vishal as the male lead.
