Bangalore Naatkal to Release On February 5

Director Bommarillu Baskar’s debut film in Tamil, Bangalore Naatkal, has been awarded a U certificate, without any cuts by the censor board members. The film, produced by PVP Cinemas, will release worldwide on February 5. Bangalore Naatkal, will face box-office competition from actor Prashanth’s Saahasam and Vetrimaaran’s Visaaranai. The trailer of the film released on January 27th and appears to be a faithful remake of director Anjali Menon’s Malayalam sleeper hit, Bangalore Days.

At the audio launch of Bangalore Naatkal, actor Bobby Simha said, “Baskar sir includes rich family values in his Telugu films and there could be no better film than Bangalore Naatkal to make his debut in Tamil.” Arya, who reprises Dulquer Salman’s role, added that Baskar’s meticulous planning would make this a highly successful film.

Bangalore Naatkal stars Arya, Rana Daggubati, Bobby Simha, Sri Divya, Parvathy and Raai Laxmi. Music director Gopi Sundar, who composed for the original film, has also composed for the remake.
