In a first for a Telugu film, SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali will release in Chinese theatres this May with over 6000 prints across the country. The last Indian film to have such a wide release was 3 Idiots, with 5000 prints. The theatrical rights of the film were bought by E Star Films last year. Baahubali has already been sold to over 30 international territories, including some Latin American countries and Japan. The second part of the film is currently on the floors. It is slated to release worldwide by end-2016, or early-2017.
