Aamir Khan was initially apprehensive of donning the role of a 55-year-old wrestler in the movie. However, the script convinced him to do the role. In his interview with India Today, he said, “I couldn’t get the script out of my head, so I made Nitesh (Tiwari) narrate it to me a third time after eight months, and I decided I just want to do it.”
According to the live tweets from the poster launch event, the actor was full of praise for his on-screen daughters. He said, “My 4 on-screen daughters are Dangal’s heart”.
The movie is scheduled to have a December release.
